Ozarks Healthcare Holding Art Competition And Show

West Plains, MO. – From May 6- 17, 2024, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Ozarks Healthcare in collaboration with the West Plains Council for the Arts is holding an Art Competition and Show. The theme of the show is “Note To Self”. This event is tied to encourage and help artistic expressions towards health themes. All of the art will be displayed at the West Plains Civic Center.

The competition is allowed for artists of all ages, and there will be five categories to participate in. 1st through third place will win cash prizes. All submissions must be turned in by Friday, April 19, 2024. Artwork can be in all mediums and some select entries may be displayed at local libraries, online, and at art fairs. The categories are:

  1. Adult (18+)
    • 1st Place: $150
    • 2nd Place: $100
    • 3rd Place: $75
  1. High School (9th – 12th grade)
    • 1st Place: $100
    • 2nd Place: $75
    • 3rd Place: $50
  1. Middle School (5th grade – 8th grade)
    • 1st Place: $50
    • 2nd Place: $25
    • 3rd Place: $10
  1. 2nd grade – 4th grade
    • 1st Place: $50
    • 2nd Place: $25
    • 3rd Place: $10
  1. 1st grade and below
    • 1st Place: $50
    • 2nd Place: $25
    • 3rd Place: $10

There will also be a ” Best of Show” award of $200 and a $500 scholarship for the overall best high school entry.
