UPDATE 9/14/2023: This event has been postponed.
WEST PLAINS, MO – Ozarks Healthcare is excited to announce an upcoming event that will introduce its community to the cutting-edge Ion Endoluminal Robotic Bronchoscopy Platform by Intuitive Surgical. This groundbreaking technology used by Ozarks Healthcare Pulmonology utilizes three-dimensional mapping of a patient’s airways, enabling the early detection of lung cancer like never before.
Lung cancer is a significant health concern, and early detection is often the key to successful treatment outcomes. The Ion Endoluminal Robotic Bronchoscopy Platform represents a significant advancement in this field. More than 70 percent of all lung cancer nodules are located in the outer one-third of the lung, an area full of tight and narrow airway spaces. Ion technology provides opportunity for minimally invasive biopsies that can play a key part of early diagnosis.
By offering the ability to identify lung cancer at extremely early stages, Ion technology provides hope for improved patient outcomes and increased survival rates.
All are invited to drop by Ozarks Healthcare’s main entrance at 1100 Kentucky Ave. in West Plains between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, to learn about the latest advancements in lung cancer detection and treatment. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness a live demonstration of the Ion system, ask questions directly to Dr. Praveen Datar, pulmonologist at Ozarks Healthcare, and engage in discussions about early cancer detection and its potential impact on lives.
