West Plains, MO – The number of COVID-19 patients at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains have decreased this week. As of August 26, 2021, the hospital had 18 patients diagnosed with COVID-19, 6 of those patients are on ventilators. This is a decrease of 10 patients from August 19. The total number of COVID-19 beds in OZH is 39. While the decrease in patients is a good trend, Ozarks Healthcare wishes to remind residents of South Central Missouri and Northern Arkansas that we are not out of the woods yet.

COVID-19 and its Delta variant spread more easily in crowds and with children returning to school and the upcoming Labor Day holiday around the corner, now is the time to stay vigilant with precautionary measures: social distancing, washing your hands, and wearing a mask.
