WEST PLAINS, MO – Ozarks Healthcare has welcomed its first baby to be born in its Women’s Center in 2022. Trace Jared Hale made his arrival at 6:46 p.m. on Jan. 3, weighing 8 pounds and 2 ounces. Trace is the son of Alex Lambe and Tyler Hale of West Plains.
“Even though we were three days into the New Year, we were still excited to be the family to welcome Ozarks Healthcare’s New Year baby,” Lambe said.
Trace was delivered by Dr. Reah Kurian of Ozarks Healthcare Women’s Health. As the first baby born in 2022, Trace and his family were presented with a gift basket from Ozarks Healthcare’s Obstetrics (OB) Department, which included a new car seat, diaper bag, diapers, soap, blankets, supplies, and much more. Trace also received a gift of handmade blankets and hats from the Busy Hands and Stitchers of the West Plains Senior Center, who previously donated items for Ozarks Healthcare’s New Year baby.
Featuring 20,000 square feet, the new Ozarks Healthcare Women’s Center includes modern labor and delivery rooms, gynecological surgery facilities, and educational spaces. The Women’s Center also houses five labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms, plus one labor and delivery procedure room. Ozarks Healthcare delivers approximately 600 newborns each year.
