Ozarks Medical Center Thrift Store Reopens with Restrictions

WEST PLAINS, Mo – Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) Thrift Store reopened on May 6 with restrictions.  An occupancy limit of 30 with a six-foot distancing between customers’ requirement is being implemented, especially at the register and when donating at the garage.

These precautions will make it easier to keep cross-contamination at a minimum. There will be lines marked out for the appropriate distance near the register, along with the aisles being marked as one way only.

They are asking that customers leave their carts with the cashiers after they’ve checked out so that they may properly be cleaned and sanitized.   The public bathroom will be closed and access to the dressing room will be limited.

OMC Thrift Store hopes that these measures will be temporary and they thank everyone for their cooperation in keeping their employees and customers safe during this time.

The OMC Thrift Store located at 1807 Porter Wagoner Boulevard is owned and operated by the OMC Foundation.  “Shopping at and donating to the OMC Thrift Store is one way that everyone can support their local medical system, “ said Karen Yarbrough, OMC Thrift Store Manager.

The Ozarks Medical Center Foundation, established in 1998 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with a local board of directors, serves as a liaison between the donor and OMC to assist the hospital in providing excellent healthcare to the communities it serves.
