West Plains, MO. – The first-time Renaissance Festival to West Plains, “OzFaire” took place this past weekend, and organizers are sharing that it was a huge success.
Dalyn Bird, the chair of OzFaire, reported to Ozark Radio News that they estimated 500 attendees, but were shocked to find that the total attendance was tripled with nearly 1500 people showing up.
Big draws for the weekend included armored metal combat, padded weapon combat, turkey legs, dramatic shows, and a line-up of vendors.
The organization responsible for this event was AFK, or Always a Future for Kids, who raise money through various events and gift that money to local non-profits who give back to the youth of the Ozarks.
Bird went on to say that the proceeds of this event will go along way to supporting children of the Ozarks.
