West Plains, MO. – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will present an Intermediate Excel workshop on November 2nd, 2022 from 9 am to 4 pm facilitated by Jonathan Smith. This workshop will build on the fundamentals to make the most of the program’s functions for any business or organizational needs. With this training, attendees will learn how to create outlines, subtotals, and cell names, sort and filter data, create and format tables, save workbooks as web pages, insert and edit hyperlinks, and share workbooks via email.
The workshop is intended for individuals who wish to build on their basic understanding of Excel to customize their use of spreadsheets. Many of the principles taught in this class will also apply to spreadsheets in general, and can be applied to other spreadsheet programs that may be used within an organization or business. Upon successful completion of this course, attendees will be able to create and develop Excel worksheets and workbooks in an effective way that is critical to the success of their company.
Facilitator Jonathan Smith graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering. He has since worked in telecommunications, database management, and web development. He led Microsoft Excel and Access workshops from January 2006 to December 2008 at the Center for Continuing Education and Outreach at Missouri State – West Plains. Jonathan says, “the ability to use a spreadsheet is one of the most useful computer skills you can have, and Excel is the industry standard for spreadsheets”. He adds that the knowledge is very useful for any spreadsheet program as they all typically implement Excel’s functionality.
