OzSBI to Host Slew of Business Classes in July, with One Starting Today

West Plains, MO. – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will be presenting four workshops in July. These workshops include a Manufacturing Roundtable, USDA REAP Grants for Energy Efficiency Improvements, Smart Start: Developing a Successful Business, and Small Business, Big Impact: Marketing Strategies for Success.

The Manufacturing Roundtable will be on July 12 from 11:30 to 1 and will feature dynamic speakers including the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Penmac, and Missouri Enterprise. The speakers will discuss workforce training initiatives and resources available to manufacturers, investing in employees, how to optimize the hiring process, addressing workforce gaps in the manufacturing industry, and more. Manufacturers are invited to learn about regional resources they can use. The luncheon is free to attend but registration is required. This luncheon is sponsored by Caterpillar.

Jimmy Story with Story’s Teamwork will be at OzSBI on July 19 from 11:30 to 1 for a free lunch and learn about USDA REAP grants for Energy Efficiency Improvements. The USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) provides grant funding and loan financing to rural small businesses and agricultural producers for energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Story will be sharing how this program can provide funding to make energy upgrades and how his team can assist you with applying for this grant. This lunch and learn is sponsored by FNBC Bank.

Smart Start: Developing a Successful Business is a free course offered by OzSBI that teaches entrepreneurs and small business owners the critical first steps involved with starting a small business and sets up a roadmap for success.  Attendees will learn the ins and outs of starting a business, how and why to create a business plan, and how to understand the finances from the start. The scheduled workshop will be facilitated by Autumn Shirley and Gene Weinbeck at OzSBI on July 25 from 2-5.

Lastly, OzSBI will be hosting a marketing workshop titled Small Business, Big Impact: Marketing Strategies for Success in partnership with the Ava Chamber of Commerce as part of the OzSBI Hub Pilot Program. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of marketing, help attendees explore marketing strategies, and how to leverage digital marketing, social media, content creation, and more for maximum impact. The workshop is scheduled for July 30 from 1 to 5 at The Board Room in Ava.
