WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will be offering a Supervision Boot Camp: Frontline Series in June. Supervisors today face a world of tremendous change and challenge. This program is designed for new and experienced supervisors and managers who want to keep their knowledge and skill consistent with, or a step ahead, of the demands of the work place. The Boot Camp has been designed to build skills in the basic competencies that supervisors need most in leading employees to greater individual, team, and organizational performance.
The Boot Camp is aimed primarily at supervisors, group leaders, and lead persons who have little formal training in effectively leading the work of others. Experienced supervisors will find the Boot Camp helpful in updating leadership skills and practices. This program is also recommended as an excellent preparation for those expecting to assume supervisory responsibilities in the future. Participants will engage in interactive action learning sessions that feature case studies, planning exercises, self-assessments, and simulations to gain insights and develop strategies for improving supervision skills. Each individual will develop an action plan to ensure that they are concentrating on the appropriate skills and increasing the transfer of training to their workplace.
This Supervison Boot Camp series is presented by the SBDC- Missouri State University and will be held on four consecutive Fridays: June 4, 11, 18 and 25. All classes will be held at the Ozarks Small Business Incubator, 408 Washington Avenue, West Plains, MO from 9 AM to 4 PM.

PROGRAM TRAINERS
Scot Scobee
Scot is a seasoned professional in business administration and human resources. He has over 20 years of experience in performance management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, customer service, compensation strategies, and training and development. Scot has held upper management positions with profit and non-profit organizations in manufacturing, hospitality and charitable giving. He has developed comprehensive training programs for organizations affecting all levels of employment including orientation programs, performance management, effective interviewing, employment law and supervision. Scot has a special aptitude in synthesizing complex situations and implementing effective strategies that work. Scot holds a B.S. degree in Management from Missouri State University.
David Miller
David has been in many facets of training and development for over 16 years. As Sales Manager, Training Manager, Managing Director, Organizational Development Manager, Corporate Consultant and Certified Teacher. Life Incorporated Enterprises has allowed an opportunity as a business consultant to continue to develop and deliver programs as well as consult on common business practices for overall organizational success. David has worked with many organizations, such as, Students in Free Enterprise, Wal-Mart, TAMKO, Emerson Electric, Watts Radiant, J.B. Hunt, Crossland Construction, Jack Henry & Associates and various other Fortune 500 companies, to develop and deliver many types of management and leadership training programs.
