Peace Valley, MO. – A pair of individuals were recently arrested after being found in possession of both illegal drugs and an illegal firearm, the Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports.
According to the official statement on the arrest, at roughly 3:20am of March 8th, Deputies Wardrip and Gordon of the Howell County Sheriff’s Office encountered a pair trespassing near County Road 2000 in the Peace Valley area. Contact was made, and K9 Ares was deployed to the scene, who alerted to narcotics in the suspects vehicle.
The positive alert led to a search, which then led to the discovery of meth, psilocybin mushrooms, and an illegal firearm.
The pair in the vehicle, Shannon Collins and Tara Harbison, were placed under arrest on charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.
