WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Motorists will no longer be able to park on two streets in West Plains.
The West Plains City Council approved two ordinances at their Monday meeting prohibiting parking on Alaska Ave. from 6th to 10th Streets and on E. Olden St. at the corner of St. Louis Street to Crestwood Circle.
The Alaska Ave. change was requested by Ozarks Medical Center due in part to the visibility issues and safety concerns for employees crossing Alaska Ave., while the E. Olden request was requested by the school district due to bus traffic issues. The parking ban would be from 7 am to 4 pm during school days.
Both bills passed unanimously.
