Plato Man Seriously Injured in Weekend Crash

Plato, MO. – A man from Plato crashed over the weekend, leaving him with serious injuries.

A 1999 Harley Davidson was travelling Northbound on Slabtown Road 5 miles East of Plato, when it crashed. The driver was Michael Chew, 60 of Plato. The crash occurred as Chew overcorrected while driving, and overturned his motorcycle.

Chew was transported after the accident by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment of his serious injuries. According to the report, he was not wearing a safety device.

This accident was investigated by Master Sergeant D.B. Pounds of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G, and was assisted by Roby First Responders.
