Private Pesticide Applicator Training Planned for Howell County

A private pesticide applicator training is scheduled on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, from 12:30PM to 3:30PM at the Howell County MU Extension Center in West Plains, MO. Cash or check is accepted at the event. Cash must be exact.

The private pesticide applicator license issued by the Missouri Dept of Agriculture is required for producers wanting to purchase and apply restricted use pesticides. Application by unlicensed workers under the supervision of licensed applicators is no longer allowed as of January 1st, 2025. Agricultural producers needing to obtain or renew certification of this license must take this pesticide safety training every five years. You must be 18 years of age and directly involved in the production of agricultural commodities to obtain this license.

This class does not include the annual training required to apply synthetic auxin herbicides (i.e. dicamba) given by the registrants.

This training also does not include the supplemental training required to apply paraquat dichloride.
