The charges stem from the April 10 homicide at the Koshkonong Snappy Mart.

Oregon County Judge Harvey Allen held an arraignment hearing for Lindley at 2 p.m. Monday (4/12). The hearing was held virtually, with Lindley appearing via video. He is being held in the Dent County jail.

Carlos Moreno, of California, died in the shooting. Melissa Rae Blaskiewicz, Jonah Bivens, and Paul Chavis all suffered gunshot wounds. The three surviving victims were transported to Springfield-area hospitals Saturday with critical injuries.

Two additional victims were shot at but were uninjured.

According to a probable cause statement: deputies arrived at the Snappy Mart on U.S. 63 shortly after receiving a 911 call at around 5 a.m. An Oregon County deputy says he found Chavis lying on the ground outside the store with a gunshot wound. The deputy then entered the store, finding Moreno leaning against the wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The deputy found Blaskiewicz with a gunshot wound sitting at a table inside the store and Bivens sitting on the floor with a gunshot wound. The deputy said Bivens was unable to speak but was able to write down that Chris Lindley was the suspect who shot him.
