West Plains, MO. – On Friday, March 14th, the West Plains PD responded to Lincoln School to a call of vandalism on city property.
Officers took note a racial slur spray-painted in white on the street nearby. A picture was taken of the valdalism and is being kept for evidence, but no suspect has been identified at this time.
The slur has since been painted over and the case has been documented.
In response, Crockett Oaks has stated this incident “highlights the importance of the work we are doing at Lincoln School. The vandalism that we recently witnessed is not only careless, but is counterproductive to our efforts in bringing the community together.
“It’s clear that our Lincoln School Project mission remains relevant, especially in light of such dvisive actions. I truly hope that those responsible for vandalizing city property with such inflammatory language will be identified and held accountable for their actions.”
