Houston, MO. – A registered sex offender has been arrested after being reported for sexually assaulting a person near Raymondville, according to a press release from the Texas County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 15th, deputies were dispatched to Highway B near Raymondville for a report of a sexual assault. A 19-year-old victim reported being sexually assaulted by Ray Rogers, age 42 of Success. The victim told authorities that they awoke to Rogers covering their mouth with his hand and being sexually assaulted by him. Deputies located Rogers, took him to the Sheriff’s Office in Houston, and interviewed him. Rogers stated he thought the victim quote, “wanted to do something” end quote, and admitted to touching the victim.
Ray Rogers is being charged with 1st Degree Sodomy and is being held in the Texas County Jail pending a $750,000 bond.
Rogers is already on the Missouri Sex Offender Registry as a result of a conviction from Arkansas involving a 14-year-old victim in Little Rock.
