WASHINGTON – Rep. Jason Smith, MO-8, spoke during the House debate on the impeachment of President Donald Trump Wednesday afternoon.
The Republican representative spoke for roughly 2 minutes just before 4 pm, saying Democrats are the “party of impeachment”:

The floor debate on the two articles of impeachment – abuse of power and obstruction of Congress – is expected to last for the next several hours in the Democratically-controlled chamber. If the expected impeachment takes place, the trial will move to the Republican-controlled Senate, where a conviction on the charges is unlikely.
Smith is the Representative for Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, which covers Ozark Radio News’ entire Missouri listening area.
