West Plains, MO. – Southern Missouri Technical Institute celebrated its official name change on Wednesday, Oct. 25th. The school, formerly South Central Career Center, celebrated the change with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held by the Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce and with many of the students, staff, and school officials in attendance.
Southern Missouri Technical Institute, or SoMo Tech for short, offers various programs including practical nursing, surgical technology, electric line technology, welding, auto mechanics and auto body repair, culinary arts, and commercial and advertising art.
