Roadwork in Area Includes Closure of Route AH in Douglas County

Keeping the roads functional requires a lot of work in Missouri, especially after a rapid cooling and warming event. MoDOT has several locations within our area that are the focus. Read more below on all current projects within our primary listening area.

Route AH in Douglas County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace the culvert under the roadway. The road will be closed from Route W to the end of state maintenance. Weather permitting, the road will close on Monday, Jan. 9 through Thursday, Jan. 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route 137 in Howell and Texas Counties will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace the culvert under the roadway in various locations. The road will be closed between Route 17 in Texas County near Yukon, MO. to BU 63 in Howell County in Willow Springs, MO. Crews will work one section of roadway at a time. Weather permitting, the road will close from Tuesday, January 3 through Tuesday, January 31 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Business 63 in Howell County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews construct sidewalks. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). There are two locations on Business 63 a few blocks apart. The first at the corner of Missouri Ave. and the second at the corner of Washington Street in West Plains, Missouri.  Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Dec. 19 through Wednesday March 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Route 19 in Shannon County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews construct sidewalks. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The approximate section of roadway is located between 2nd Street to Perkins Street in Winona, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place Thursday, Jan. 5 through Wednesday, March 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Route 60 in Shannon and Carter Counties will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform joint and crack sealing. This section of roadway is located from west of Route P to Route Y.  Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Jan. 4 through Friday Jan. 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route PP in Wright County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews construct sidewalks. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). The approximate section of roadway is located just north of Hawk Street to Hill Street in Norwood, Missouri.  Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Dec. 12 through Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Route C in Wright County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews construct sidewalks. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The approximate section of roadway is located between Eagle Street and Vannoy Street in Norwood, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Dec. 12 through Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Route 95 in Wright County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway. This section of roadway is located between Girlstown Road and Willow Road north of Mountain Grove, MO. Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Jan. 18 through Friday, Jan. 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
