West Plains, MO. – The Shawna Ross arrest that was posted on Ozark Radio News yesterday is connected to the Blair child porn arrest from December 2022, according to the probable cause statement.
Harold “Rusty” Blair, age 66 of Ava, was arrested on December 7, 2022 after photos of Blair and underage children performing sexual acts were discovered during the destruction of Blairs former residence by city workers. Blair told investigators that some of the children in the photos were of a girl whose parents were staying with him in 2012 or 2013.
According to probable cause statements, Shawna Ross, age 49 of Ava, is the mother of two girls who were minors at the time they were forced to have sex with Blair and their father. One of the minors involved in the case came forward with information on the three adults on December 28th, 2022 and spoke with investigators from Homeland Security.
According to the PC statement, Ross knew that the girls’ father and Blair had an agreement that the girls would perform sexual acts in exchange for living with him between 2010 and 2011. During this time, the statement of the minor says the two minor female children were anally and vaginally raped by the two men and were forced to perform oral sex on the men.
Blair is being federally prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Stephanie L. Wan. Ross is currently being held in the Douglas County Jail and has a bond reduction hearing on February 9, 2023. The girls’ father has not been arrested at this time.
