Salem, AR. – A fire has claimed an older structure within the town of Salem, AR.
This fire was called in to local emergency responders after 10 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, January 30th. The building that was on fire was the old school gym, located at 219 North Oak Street, which was being renovated into a set of apartments.
By the time emergency responders arrived on the scene, the building was already a lost cause. The structure was completely destroyed by the fire, and actions were taken to prevent the fire from spreading.
Individuals who were living inside at the time of the fire are reported to have all escaped without injury. There has been no announcement as to the source of the blaze.
