Salem Driver Injured in Monday Crash

Salem, MO. – A 65-year-old male driver from Salem, MO, was injured yesterday afternoon at roughly 2:15 as they turned a curve and found themselves ejected from the vehicle.

According to this report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Master Sergeant K.D. Wilmont of Troop I, the driver was identified as Robert Taylor. Taylor was driving a Canam Defender, a side-by-side UTV on County Road 2330 at a high rate of speed without a safety device. This caused Taylor and another unnamed occupant to be ejected from the vehicle as they turned a curve while travelling too quickly.

Taylor suffered moderate injuries from the ejection and was transported to Salem Memorial Hospital for treatment. No other damage or injuries were reported.
