Salem, MO. – A pedestrian was struck yesterday evening, leaving her with fatal injuries. This report comes from Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
This crash took place around 5:19pm yesterday, December 30th on Highway 72 in Dent County. A 72-year-old woman is reported to have walked into the roadway while a Dodge Charger was travelling southbound, leading to the collision.

Emergency services transported the injured party to Salem Memorial Hospital, but they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased at 6:00pm by Doctor Charles Featherly.
Troop I says this is their 38th fatality for 2024.
