WEST PLAINS, MO – Sarah James, certified speech-language pathologist (SLP), has been promoted from manager to director of Ozarks Healthcare Therapies. As director, James will oversee Ozarks Healthcare’s physical and occupational therapy, as well as speech-language pathology services in inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, home health, and school settings.
“I’m excited to lead in a service area that I truly love,” James said. “All patients deserve access to therapy services to help them live healthier lives. Our fantastic team of therapists on our main campus and those throughout our service areas work hard to help community members live life to the fullest. It is rewarding to see the growth in our services so more community members can be helped to achieve healthier lifestyles through our therapy services.”
James holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Hospital Administration from William Woods University, Fulton, and a Master of Science (MS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the area of speech-language pathology from Missouri State University.
Before joining Ozarks Healthcare Therapies in 2019 as the program’s manager, James previously worked for Exceptional Child Cooperative as a speech-language pathologist and traveled to rural locations to provide speech-language therapy to children. Before that, she also worked for Ozarks Healthcare Therapies (at the time, Ozarks Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services) as a speech-language pathologist for five years.
Originally from Mountain View, MO, James, her husband, and three children all reside in Willow Springs, where her husband serves as the athletic director for the Willow Springs School District.
