Saundra McDowell challenges Mike Parson to debate

Saundra McDowell, candidate for Governor in Missouri, is challenging Mike Parson to a live-streamed, virtual, or in-person debate. There are yet to be any debates for the GOP Primary held or planned so far.

Republican Candidate Saundra McDowell said, “The decisions we make this year will determine our state’s course through what promises to be one of the most unpredictable decades in our history. So with so much at stake, don’t you think the people deserve to hear from all the candidates? Let’s level the playing field and make it a democratic process – have all the candidates up on stage at the same time and judge each on their merits. Just because Mr. Parson is the incumbent and has the backing of the establishment, does not mean he doesn’t have to work for the people’s vote. Right now, his campaign believes that if they simply ignore the other candidates as if there isn’t even a Primary in the first place, that they can spend their way through to the General. Well, that ain’t going to happen. The people of Missouri are smart, and will see through this strategy.”

Air Force veteran and former State Auditor candidate Saundra McDowell is running against Governor Parson, who assumed the position two years ago, after the resignation of Governor Eric Greitens.

“I am issuing a challenge to Mr. Parson, asking him to join me in a public debate,” said McDowell. “With our values under attack by Democrats statewide, Missourians deserve someone who will not shirk from a fight, who will walk towards the fire. I am willing to debate Mr. Parson any time and any place.”

Specifics will be released if McDowell and her team hear back from Mr. Parson’s campaign. McDowell recommends the people select the moderator, select the venue, and submit questions online, which would be randomly drawn and answered by all debating candidates. McDowell recommends no prior disclosure of the questions to be made before the debate, no note cards, and no earpieces allowed.
