Mountain Grove, MO. – The Mountain Grove Police Department posted that people in the Mountain Grove area have received scam letters. The Police Department is trying to make the public aware that these letters are not from them or the local government. They are telling people not to fill out the information attached to the letter or give money to the scammers.
The letter claims to be with the National Police Association. It asks for you to check the yes box to add your name to a petition to clean up the community called the Quality of Life Policing Petition. The letter claims that the petition will be shown to the City Council to approve a police budget. The picture below is a copy of one of the letters the Mountain Grove Police Department is warning individuals about.
