A new report from the South Central Ozark Council of Governments shows the scale of regional progress made over the past two fiscal years. According to SCOCOG, 76 projects across the FY26–FY27 cycle totaled more than $72.45 million in funding, including $55.46 million in grants, $9.13 million in private investment, and 275.5 new jobs created.
Officials say those numbers reflect real improvements for communities throughout the region — from upgraded roads, expanded broadband and stronger water systems to new housing, safer public facilities, business development, and long‑range planning efforts.
SCOCOG leaders expressed appreciation for the local governments, organizations, businesses, and residents who helped move these projects forward, noting that the combined impact is far greater than any single project alone.
