Licking, MO. – Awhile back, we talked about how the Missouri Department of Conservation was looking for specific seeds for the buying season, and now that season has officially arrived.
The George O. White State Forest Nursery has been announced to have a variety of native trees and shrubs available to purchase by the public. In addition, people may buy seeds instead. With the short supply of some native plants, some will sell out quickly, so it’s important to reserve your seedlings as soon as possible.
The Missouri Department of Conservation hopes that all residents of the area consider purchasing local plants rather than non-native ones as they decorate their yards, as a way to protect local biodiversity and habitats.
Orders can be taken beginning September 3rd by clicking here.
