Second West Plains December 27th Crash Report Leads to DWI Charges

West Plains, MO. – The second of the pair of serious crashes that occurred yesterday in the West Plains area has been reported, which has led to criminal DWI charges against one of the drivers involved.

This crash took place on US 160 just north of Route JJ. This crash report is summarized quickly, stating that the driver of a southbound Dodge Caravan failed to yield to a northbound Dodge Challenger, causing the collision.

Both the driver and passenger of the Challenger, identified as Michael Reich, 61, and Joy Reich, 54, both of Mountain Home, AR., sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Caravan, a 59-year-old West Plains resident by the name of Linda Harring, sustained moderate injuries. All were taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.

Harring was found to be intoxicated during the investigation of the accident, which has led to a felony DWI charge, as well as charges of Failure to Yield, and Failure to Display Lighted Lamps on a Motor Vehicle.
