According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Thayer man died Thursday afternoon in a traffic crash.
27-year-old Thaddaus Collins pulled into the path of and was struck by a tractor trailer. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene by Howell County Coroner Tim Cherry. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.

The accident happened at 12:20 p.m. Thursday (7/09), five miles south of West Plains on U.S. 63.
This is Troop G’s 19th fatality, compared to 13 at this time last year.
