West Plains, MO. – Today, officials from 16 schools, 1 Missouri Senator, and 3 Missouri Representatives attended a “Legislative Luncheon” organized by the West Plains School system.
Meeting in the High School Library, those there held discussions about issues that concerned school systems from around the listening area. This includes House Bill 711 on Open Enrollment, funding for autism program for schools, and issues on transportation to and from the schools.
Those who attended addressed a desire for this meeting to become a yearly occasion, and for it to occur before the start of the official legislative season in the coming year.
Political figures in attendance include Representatives Bennie Cook, Lisa Durnell, and Matthew Overcast, and Senator Brad Hudson.
