Authorities responded to a serious crash involving a 2017 Can-Am Spyder on this morning at approximately 12:45 AM on MO-17, five miles north of Mountain View.
According to the report, the crash occurred when the northbound three-wheeled motorcycle failed to navigate a curve, veered off the left side of the roadway, and struck a sign. The rider, a 44-year-old man from Summersville, was ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

The rider sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Authorities noted that the driver was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
