With another bout of winter weather taking us into February, many roads are still closed within the listening area. Those who are making their morning commutes should be aware of not only the slick and dangerous conditions on the roadway, but also of certain road closures.
Information in road closures has been obtained as of 8am with MoDOT’s Traveler Information map, and the IDriveArkansas live map, both online.
In Missouri, Route 19 from Alton to Winona is still closed due to Weather. Route 181 from the Howell/Douglas County line to Cabool in Texas County is also closed due to weather. Route 137 from Willow Springs to Yukon is also closed, but this is due to planned roadwork on culvert replacement.
In Arkansas, no roads are listed as closed, but most, if not all are marked with ice patches, with some being marked as being covered in ice.
Be especially careful travelling on bridges, as ice is most likely to form on raised roadway structures.
