Seymour Woman Fatally Injured in Wednesday Crash

Diggins, MO. – A Seymour woman was killed Wednesday night during a crash that took place on US 60 near Diggins, MO, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Alixandra Woods, a 27-year-old from Seymour, MO., was driving a Hyundai Elantra and failed to yield to a Westbound Ford Fusion being driven by a 15-year-old juvenile from Ozark, MO. The report states the front of the Fusion struck the side of the Elantra during the 9pm collision due to this failure to yield.

Woods was pronounced deceased on the scene by Webster County Deputy Coroner Wayne Plunkett at 9:40pm. An occupant of the Fusion, Constance Dodge, 56 of Ozark, sustained moderate injuries in the crash, and was taken to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.

The investigator of this fatal accident was Trooper A.M. James of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D.
