West Plains, MO. – Sergeant Thomas “Eddie” Young has assumed the role of retired Sgt. Jeff Kinder as Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G Education and Public Information Officer. Sgt. Young has been with MSHP for 19 years, originally starting in Jackson County as part of Troop A before transferring to Troop G, headquartered in Willow Springs.
Sgt. Young has a strong passion for safety on Missouri road and water ways. While he is a staunch supporter for the use of safety devices while operating motor vehicles, his goal is to help Missourians make an informed and educated decision on the importance and effectiveness of those devices.
Sgt. Young has many ties to the Troop G area. He graduated high school in Alton. His wife is a teacher at West Plains High School and he is the proud father of three young children.
