WINONA, MO – On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Corporal Henry and Captain McCoy of the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) made a significant arrest in the ongoing fight against illegal drug activity. Robert VanWinkle was taken into custody after being found in possession of a controlled substance.
The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting the community and upholding the law. We have no tolerance for drug activity in our county, and this arrest is a part of our continuous efforts to ensure public safety and address illegal narcotics in the area.
Further charges are expected as the investigation into other potential criminal activities related to VanWinkle continues.
The SCSO urges anyone with information related to drug activity or other crimes to come forward and assist in keeping Shannon County safe.
