Six Iowa Residents Injured When Wagon Overturns Near Eminence

Eminence, MO. – Information on a bit of an unusual accident has come out between reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Shannon County First Responders.

This happened on Sunday, August 4th on Fox Pen Road near Eminence. Two children and four adults, all from Iowa, were injured when their horse drawn wagon went off the roadway and overturned. What initially seemed like a possible major injury crash thankfully turned out to end with relatively minor injuries. A medical transport helicopter was called for, and eventually dismissed when injuries were assessed.

All those injured were then taken by a combination of private vehicle and ground EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for further care after emergency responders tended to them.
