Six teens injured in Texas County Crash

Houston, MO. – Six teenagers have been injured in a one-vehicle crash in Texas County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred on German Road, six miles west of Houston at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

A 1999 Ford Ranger driven by a 16-year-old male ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. There were a total of six people in the vehicle, with all sustaining some level of injury.

A 13-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox Hospital in Springfield. Another girl, age 15, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The driver, two 15-year-old boys, and a 14-year-old boy suffered minor injuries and were taken to TCMH by private vehicle.

None of the teens had been wearing seatbelts.
