Fort Leonard Wood, MO. – An unidentified soldier was found dead overnight at Fort Leonard Wood Military Base.
According to law enforcement officials, the soldier was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound at an on-post residence. He was pronounced deceased around 12:15 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024. Officers are withholding the identity of the soldier until after the family members are notified.
There are no additional details on the death right now. Fort Leonard Wood law enforcement and the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the details and circumstances of the death.
