Ava, MO. – On February 18th of 2023, a man from St Louis was arrested in Ava after an investigation led to incriminating evidence being found on location.
The investigation began when information was supplied to law enforcement of a man who is a convicted felon making threats and possessing firearms illegally.
Steven M. Konert, a 43-year-old from St. Louis was identified as the suspect in question and was located inside of a Conex Shipping Container. An altercation took place between the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force and Konert was taken into custody shortly after.
Konert was shown to be a convicted felon and was in possession of two firearms. He has been charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a firearm, and Felony Resisting Arrest, and has been issued a $5,000 bond.
