Mountain View, AR. – A Stone County, Arkansas Sheriff’s Deputy has been shot and killed while on duty, according to a recent press release from the Arkansas State Police.
The announcement says that this incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. yesterday, January 2nd. A suspect has already been taken into custody for the event.

The Sheriff of Stone County, Brandon Long, has requested the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division to conduct an investigation, and for the Arkansas Department of Public Safety to field inquiries on the case.
A press conference is to be scheduled to occur to release more information on the incident.
