Student presentations held during Geography Awareness Week

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Hong Kong’s uncertain future was the topic of a presentation by geography student Madison Roberts of West Plains during Geography Awareness Week November 11-15 at Missouri State University-West Plains.

Roberts’ presentation was one of several offered by students during the week.

Topics covered included climate change and its impact on different parts of the world, the impact of urbanization on agriculture, the geography of diets, future of Brexit, globalization, the dynamics of recycling, resource depletion, and melting in Antarctica.

Geography Awareness Week activities were funded through the university’s Annual Fund and the Philanthropic Women for Education organization.
