West Plains, MO. – Yesterday was the first day of Summer, and the season has officially kicked off with high temperatures across the board. High temperatures this weekend could even possibly reach triple digit numbers.
As we get into this season, we want to remind those of you out there to stay cool and aware of the symptoms that could come as a result of heat-related sickness.

That being said, the City of West Plains has three designated cooling locations to help citizens beat the heat over the Summer months: The West Plains Civic Center, The West Plains Senior Center, and the West Plains Public Library will all be open during open hours to serve as cooling locations.
