The male victim reported to the West Plains Police Department on July 10th, 2023, that Dooley and an unnamed person had stolen some of his checks. Investigators learned there were six forged checks totaling $3,803.81 that originated at Walmart in West Plains.

It was later learned of a transaction at the Walmart in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Walmart staff at both stores cooperated in the investigation and were able to provide face shots of the suspect when she returned merchandise purchased in West Plains to the Ash Flat location.

Police noted in the probable cause statement that Dooley was identified due to previous law enforcement encounters. The statement says Dooley has stolen checks from the same victim two separate times in the past but, News Team 7 was unable to find online court records of the thefts being prosecuted.

Dooley is currently free on a $5,000 surety bond.
