A Howell County Sheriff Deputy was called to a home on County Road 8870 in West Plains in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day for a report of a domestic assault. A female victim told the deputy she had been bitten on the cheek by the suspect, Dakota Hensen, while trying to break up a fight between Hensen and his son. Hensen’s son stated that his dad had pulled a gun on him, and that’s when he fled from the home to call for help. Hensen is charged with assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
