Macomb, Mo. – A tanker crash has sent one man to the hospital Tuesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway Y, one mile north of Macomb at 6:55 a.m.
A northbound 2009 Kenworth T800 driven by Jeffery Hutson, 58 of Hartville, ran off the right side of the roadway before overcorrecting, leaving the left side of the road and striking an embankment. Hutson had not been wearing a safety device and was taken by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries. The vehicle was totaled in the crash.
