The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) is honored to be awarded 2024 tax credits from the Missouri Department of Economic Development through the Small Business Incubator Tax Credit Program. OzSBI received $152,946 in tax credits, which are available through December 31, 2024. This program helps small business incubators leverage local donations to use for non-operating expenditures that support new business creation throughout Missouri.
OzSBI will utilize the funds received through the tax credit program to upgrade the AV equipment throughout the building, expanding our ability to interact with clients and enhancing the technical capabilities in our meeting rooms. It will also allow for ongoing improvements on the building allowing OzSBI to continue offer rents at below-market rates for new entrepreneurs to launch successfully with fewer barriers.
OzSBI Board President Myles Smith shared, “My wife Elizabeth and I support OzSBI because we believe in their mission of nurturing local entrepreneurs. What inspires us is seeing how they help aspiring business owners transform their ideas into reality through mentorship and support. Each new business strengthens our community and creates opportunities for additional growth. By contributing to OzSBI, we’re helping build a more prosperous future for our region.”
If you have any Missouri tax liability for the 2024 year, you are eligible to receive a 50% tax credit by making a donation to OzSBI. This is available to both individuals and businesses in the state of Missouri. Donating through the tax credit program is an excellent way to keep your hard-earned tax dollars in your local economy while realizing a significant income tax credit.
Remember, December 31st is the last day to take advantage of this opportunity. Those interested in taking advantage of tax credits may contact OzSBI CEO, Heather W. Fisher at 417-256-9724.
