TCMH warns of spoofing scam calls

HOUSTON, Mo. — Texas County Memorial Hospital says residents in the region should be aware of scammers that are placing phone calls that are purported to be from the hospital.

TCMH officials say the scammers are using a tactic called “neighbor spoofing” that falsifies caller ID information in an effort to get potential victims to answer the phone.
