Ava, MO – A teen driver caused a three vehicle crash near Ava, Missouri, sending one driver to the hospital.
The accident occurred about one mile north of Ava on Highway 5 on July 23 at 2:45 p.m. A 2010 Ford Escape driven by Jeremy Monsoor, 45 of Ava, and a 2016 Chevy Cruz driven by Haley Tygart, 19 of Bolivar, were stopped in the roadway for a vehicle attempting to make a left turn when a 2000 Chevy Impala driven by a 16-year old male from Ava rear-ended the Chevy Cruz, pushing it into the Ford Escape.

Jeremy Monsoor suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
