A devastating accident in Douglas County claimed the life of a 16-year-old male. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred at approximately 6:50 PM on County Road 500, one mile west of Ava.
According to the official report, the accident involved a 2014 Ford Focus driven by a 15-year-old male juvenile from Ava, Missouri. Authorities stated that the victim, also from Ava, had been riding on the hood of the moving vehicle when he fell and was struck.
